Jinx Pyle is a singer, songwriter, cowboy poet, trick roper, historian and story teller, all of which he combines in his acts. His lineage runs back through generations of Arizona ranchers, lion and bear hunters, packers, prospectors, bootleggers, and cowboys. For most of his life Jinx made his living with cattle and horses in much the same way as his great-grandfathers. If you are looking for authentic cowboy entertainment, he is the man to contact.

Jinx is literally a walking history book of Payson, the Mogollon Rim Country, and the Pleasant Valley War. Add to this the fact that Jinx has cowboyed and hunted with the best and you have a man who knows the cowboy culture inside out.

In 2005, Jinx Pyle and his wife, Jayne Peace Pyle, were recipients of the Arizona Culturekeeper Award. Both also serve as Official Town of Payson Historians.
